Abstract
With this decree the Regulation on the identification, registration, animal health regulations and non-commercial movement of pets is approved.
The regulation consists of 5 titles plus a preliminary title and 10 annexes.
The preliminary title defines the subject matter and scope of the regulation: it lays down the health, identification and registration rules applicable to animals from holdings, as well as the animal health requirements specifically applicable during the non-commercial movement of such animals. The Regulation is without prejudice to existing rules on the identification, registration and protection of wildlife, in particular for the control of their trade, and for the identification and registration of farm animals.
Title 1 regulates the identification and registration of pet animals.
Title 2 lays down the animal health rules, including provisions on vaccinations, while Title 3 covers specific animal health rules for non-commercial movements of pet animals, between Andorra and EU Member States or from States or part of the territory of a State that is not a member of the European Union. This title also includes provisions on preventive sanitary measures and identification documents valid for movements.
Title 4 lays down the general conditions of compliance.
