Decree approving the regulation relating to the sacrifice of animals, the capture and special controls of the population of an animal species or of an individual of this species that has become harmful.

The purpose of this Regulation to regulate (a) the conditions under which is possible the control, capture and/or sacrifice of the population of an animal species or of an individual of that species that has become harmful to other animal populations, to agriculture, animal husbandry and the ecosystem, and to animal health and/or public safety. b) The slaughter methods applicable to domestic animals, whether from farm or rented, to indigenous fauna, non-indigenous fauna and urban wildlife, in order to prevent them from suffering and have an immediate loss of consciousness.
This Regulation does not apply to the sacrifice of farm animals bred for the marketing of their products for human consumption, nor for farm animals bred for personal consumption. It does not apply to the sacrifice of huntable or fishable species which are regulated respectively by the laws and regulations on hunting and fishing.
