Decree concerning waste management.

By way of implementation of articles 24 and 25 of Act No. 25 on waste, the present Decree lays down general rules governing waste management carried out by private persons or entities, for which a special authorization is required. The Decree provides also for the establishment of the register of private entities or persons authorized to carry out waste treatment operations (art. 4). The register shall contain the information prescribed by article 6. Further, articles 8 to 12 concern the transportation of waste and the procedure to be followed to obtain the authorization required. Article 13 to 16 deal with waste storage. Inspections shall be performed in order to ensure compliance with these provisions (art. 22).
