Abstract
This decree formally organizes the ministry into three main units: 1. the Department of Agriculture, responsible for veterinary services, agricultural operations, and administrative support. It also oversees the official kennel and the national slaughterhouse; 2. The Directorate General for Environment and Sustainability, a central body to optimize management and coordination between its subordinate units: a. the Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC), who handles energy policy, climate change, and meteorology. b. the Department of Environment and Sustainability who manages areas including environmental control, industrial safety, aquatic environments, wildlife, biodiversity, and landscape. c. the Corps of Banders (a ranger or environmental protection unit); 3. The Strategy and Communication Unit.
The primary goals of this restructuring are to enhance efficiency, rationalize resources, and improve coordination in implementing government policies on agriculture, environmental protection, natural heritage, and sustainability.
