Abstract
The present Regulation establishes the regulatory framework in matter of food hygiene, with a view to ensuring the safety and quality of food products. In particular, it sets out the hygienic conditions to be fulfilled by establishments engaged in the production and processing of products destined to human consumption. The application scope covers foodstuffs produced within the national territory, as well as imported products.
The Regulation is composed of 80 articles divided into 11 Titles, as follows: (I) Application scope; (II) Food products; (III) Refrigeration installations; (IV) Food transportation; (V) Marketing of food products; (VI) Market places; (VII) Authorizations and registers; (VIII) Inspection and controls; (IX) Sampling and analysis; (X) Offences and penalties; (XI) Sanctioning proceeding.
