Abstract
This regulation covers all acts or activities that entail an alteration of the current state of the land, such as: the execution of excavations or embankments for new constructions, for agricultural or industrial use, for the extension or structural modification of existing buildings or installations, or for any other purpose; industrial activities, such as quarries, gravel pits, material lending or landfills, demolition of existing works.
Activities and/or projects on public or private property that require the execution of any of the above works, embankments or earthworks in general, which are detailed in the text, are subject to an environmental impact assessment. All the above activities require prior authorisation by the Government.
The Environmental Impact Assessment of projects or activities shall identify, describe and appropriately assess the direct and indirect effects of a project on human beings, fauna and flora, water, air, climate and landscape, as well as the interaction between these factors and material assets and cultural heritage.
