Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 21 articles and 2 Annexes aims at providing rules for import, export, and re-export the ozone depleting substances, as well as equipment and products containing them. It establishes that (i) for such these trading activities, a facility need to be registered with the authorized authority and has to obtain a permit; (ii) the Minister of Environment and Water, in order to protect the ozone layer, can limit, reduce or prevent impacting activities, according to Montreal Protocol; (iii) the competent authority shall regulate and determine the quantity and quotas allowed to be imported; (iv) the facility shall submit an annual report to the competent authority; (v) the competent authority regulates the release of controlled substances into the atmosphere; (vi) it is prohibited to dispose these substances and related products without a prior approval from the competent authority.
Annex 1 lists the products containing controlled substances. Annex 2 contains the schedule for complete disposal of controlled substances and ozone depleting substances and equipment.
