Cabinet Resolution No.39 of 2021 regarding the Executive Regulations of Federal Law No.12 of 2018 regarding Integrated Waste Management.

This Regulation consisting of 13 articles and 2 Annexes aims at establishing (i) responsibilities of the waste producer and supplier to ensure proper disposal (art.2); (ii) containers for separating municipal solid waste (art.3); (iii) sewage treatment standards (art.4); (iv) hazardous waste management (art.5); (v) rules and conditions for transporting waste between the Emirates (art.6); (vi) reuse of by-products (art.7); (vii) regulatory requirements for landfills (art.8); (viii) technical requirements for landfills (art.9); (ix) administrative penalties (art.10); grievance procedures (art.11). Annex 1 deals with Treated wastewater standards and Annex 2 deals with Standards of sludge generated from the treatment process
