Decree No. 140 of 2005 establishing the Feed and Feed Additive Registration Committee.

This Decree is composed of 5 articles. Article 1 provides for the establishment of the Feed and Feed Additive Registration Committee formed by 9 specialists. Article 2 defines the following competencies and liabilities of the Committee which are to: (a) prepare requirements, conditions and terms for the registration of all animal feed and feed additives, their industries as well as detergents, breeding and care products of animals and industries; (b) prepare the list of authorized and prohibited materials and their review according to the recommendations of the competent organizations; and, (c) draw up mechanisms of prices for the above materials. Article 3 grants the Committee the possibility to appeal for the assistance from other departments and bodies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. Article 4 entrusts the Animal Wealth Department in coordination with the competent bodies in the UAE to implement this Decree.
