Abstract
This Decree consisting of 8 articles aims at determining the requirements for practicing the minimum, plant and animal production activities are needed to be practiced on the farms benefiting from the services provided by financial assistance programs to Abu Dhabi Emirate farms. Other main tasks of the Decree are (i) ensure optimum utilization of natural resources; (ii) contribute to achieving food security; (iii) contribute to enhancing biosecurity; (iv) contribute to achieving agricultural sustainability; and (v) contribute to providing safe and high quality agricultural products. Article 3 establishs that, to benefit from financial aid program, the owner of the farm is obligated to the following (i) application of the conditions of biosecurity; (ii) application of food safety requirements; and (iii) implementing relevant legislation. Article 4 provides for the conditions for practicing agricultural activities for plant production, while article 5 provides for the conditions for practicing animal production activities. Article 6 specifies that it is permissible to combine the plant and animal production activities stipulated in this Resolution.
