Abstract
This Law, comprising 6 articles, designates the Department of Energy as the competent local authority in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi under Federal Law No. 14 of 2017. The Law allows the Department of Energy to seek assistance from government entities or the private sector in carrying out its powers. It ensures that existing licenses, permits, and approvals related to petroleum product trading remain valid. Under Article 4, current policies and regulations will continue to apply unless they conflict with this Law.
