Abstract
The aims of this Law is to regulate digging licences for groundwater wells and the use of water. This Law is composed of 9 Sections divided into 32 articles. Section I deals with terms and definitions; and with groundwater ownership. Section II regulates the profession of groundwater well digging. Section III provides for the issuance of licences for the digging of groundwater wells. Section IV defines licensees obligations. Section V pertains to the issuance of licences for groundwater digging profession. Section VI addresses digging contractor’s obligations. Section VII regulates the water use. Section VIII contains offences and penalties. Section 9 contains general provisions.
