Ministerial Decree No.448 of 2009 Lifting of the ban on importing living birds and products from North and South America and Europe

The ministerial decree provides that: (i) the ban on importation of all kinds of living of domestic, wild and ornamental birds, their products and their offal from the countries of North America, South America and Europe with the exception of the areas that reported infected cases of birds flu disease is lifted, and that all imported consignments are submitted to the laws concerning veterinary quarantine and animal care in the United Arab Emirates; (ii) the veterinary Quarantine Department of the Ministry shall coordinate with the relevant authorities in the country to implement this decree.
