Ministerial Resolution No. 111 of 2020 regarding the executive regulations of Federal Law No. 10 of 2002 regarding the practice of the veterinary medicine profession and its amendments.

This Regulation consisting of 9 articles concernes (i) the classification of veterinary medical assistant professions into three categories (1) Veterinary Technician, under a licensed veterinarian to implement treatment programs, conduct initial exams, assist in surgeries, and collect samples; (2) Veterinary Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory analyses and diagnostics under a licensed veterinarian's supervision; (3) Veterinary Nurse, regarding medications and vaccines, assisting in therapeutic procedures under a licensed veterinarian's guidance; (ii) the conditions for practicing veterinary allied health professions; (iii) temporary license to practice veterinary medicine, issued by the Ministry, to visit veterinarians and veterinary medical assistants, requiring authenticated educational and experience certificates, a work mission permit or employment contract, valid establishment and veterinarian licenses, granted based on experience, valid for the mission duration, and renewable once with approval; (iv) conditions and controls for granting licenses to veterinary facilities; (v) rules for shelthering sick animals that can only be housed in veterinary hospitals and clinics if the facility has a licensed, designated section equipped with non-toxic, easily cleaned materials, suitable enclosures for the species, age, size, and weight of the animal, adequate space and ventilation, proper food and water provisions, and meets health and safety standards, with protections against weather and predators, appropriate waste drainage, separate housing for animals that may agitate each other, and isolation for animals with infectious diseases.
