Ministerial Resolution No.468 of 2019 on regulation of surface-net fishing using surrounding nets.

This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at protecting wildlife and achieve the sustainability of the country's biodiversity by regulating the fishing methods. Art.1 permits the use of surrounding nets to fishermen licensed by the Ministry for nets fishing, whose boats have been registered in the Ministry's General Register for this purpose. In art.2, it specifies the period for allowing fishing for surface fish in this way during the period from November 1 to April 30 of the following year. The following part of art.2 gives nets' specifications. Art.3 defines fishermen's obligations. Art.4 lists (i) prohibited actions; (ii) areas where is permanently prohibited fishing with nets; and (iii) procedural obligations for fishermen. The Annex specifies the areas where is permitted fishing surface fish using the net method.
