Resolution No.574 of 2015 to regulate fishing by nets.

Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at regulating the fishing activity, preserving marine life and enhancing its sustainability, as well as supporting the fishing industry and profession.
The decision permanently prohibits fishing by nets in fish breeding and reproduction areas, natural reserves, industrial marine and inland water areas such as: natural or industrial lakes, natural or deepened creeks, oil fields and establishments. It also stipulates that all fishing boats have to pass on registration and inspection points of the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA). Under the resolution all fishing boats have to register name of its fishing port and inform it in case of any modification or change. The resolution also regulates kinds of fishing nets, specifing fishing periods and features of the permitted nets.
The Annex indicates the fishing areas allocated for using nets in the different emirates.
