Abstract
This Law regulates land survey, verification and registration.
The Law stipulates that all land owners are obliged to fill in a declaration form in which they specify all the parcels of cultivation land in their possession. The declaration form shall be then sent to the Central Amlak Archives for determining the new title deeds.
The Law establishes that the department of Cadastre Survey shall carry out cadastre surveys in order to identify the owners of each parcel of land, determine the quantitative and qualitative specifications and the types of rights attached to such land.
The Law further provides for the establishment of a verification committee which shall carry out a verification process in the areas surveyed by cadastre including the determination of ownership, irrigation water rights, surface area, quality grade, taxation, etc. Once the property has undergone the processes for verification the land can be registered in the log book.
Furthermore, the Law contains penal provisions and provisions of miscellaneous nature.
