National Policy on Water Quality Supervision.

The Policy aims for protection and supervision on quality of the ground and surface water resources for the purpose of supplying clean and non-pollutant water for different goals in the country. The Policy provides for identifying the pollutant sources and items and to take measures to prevent water pollution; improving the water management system; supervising water quality in agriculture and industry use; controlling potable water; and increasing public knowledge and awareness with regard to the value of the water. The text further outlines the role and importance of water in livestock, plants, and ecosystem survival and provides for the duties of the national and international organisation for preserving and controlling water supply in ecosystem. The Policy provides instructions in each section related to different water use and requires for making legislation for protecting water and preventing its pollution. The Policy contains 15 Sections and 2 Attachments.
