Abstract
This Policy provides a list of the natural disasters that happened in Afghanistan since 2000 including earthquakes, and the incurred damages. The Policy provides for factors to be considered for reducing the sufferings through increasing public awareness, evaluating disasters impacts, developing a suitable warning system, and using information technology tools for disaster preparedness and management. The major listed disasters in the Policy are drought, flood, epidemic, and earthquake. The text further provides concerns with regard to poverty and women health conditions.
