Project to Strengthen and Develop Investment Opportunities in Agricultural Trade (OMAID).

This Policy describes the government's plan to development agribusiness sector through launch of agricultural projects and investment in this sector. The project aims to provide structural and financial support to the agricultural products processing sectors of the horticulture and livestock sectors in Afghanistan. The project is funded by the International Development Association (IDA). These investments include investing in agro-processing value chains since production, market access, and marketing processes in domestic and regional markets, as well as exports to international markets. The Policy provides different sectors of the project and its legal and organisational framework. The Policy further provides an assessment of the project's environmental and social impacts. Other provisions of the Policy refer to education and training, volunteering change of habitation, monitoring, liability of different organisations and proposed budget.
