Abstract
The Regulation sets provisions to govern the forestry associations in the country. The Regulation consists of 17 articles, which divided into 4 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Establishment, Registration, Structure, Responsibilities, and Competencies of Forestry Associations (II); Duties of Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock regarding the Forestry Associations (III); Miscellaneous Provisions (IV). The main objectives of this Regulation include: to determine required conditions for establishment, registration, improvements, and activities of the forestry associations; to manage and regulate forestry associations’ affairs; to regulate forestry affairs, such as forest management, research, inspection, reforestation, exploitation, and technical and economic affairs. Any forestry association has an independent legal personality and members of each forestry association should live in the outskirts of that forest. Any forestry association is composed of a general assembly and an executive board. The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock should facilitate the establishment of a forestry association and provide associations with necessary information and consultation.
