Regulation of Importing Chemical Fertilizer

The Regulation, which consists of 14 articles, set provisions on importation of chemical fertilizers. All imported fertilizer should contain a label containing the ingredients information, the chemical composition, name of the manufacturing company and name of importer. The importer companies should guarantee the quality of the imported fertilizers. Before importation, the sample of fertilizer should be examined and approved by the Department of Quality Control of Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock. To prevent importation of low-quality fertilizers, eight well-equipped laboratories shall be established in eight provinces of the country. The Department of Quality Control should provide comprehensive advertising program to facilitate the access of farmers to necessary information, including the specifications, quality, technical and economic features of the allowed fertilizers.
