Abstract
The Regulation sets provisions to control the quality of plant products in the country. The Regulation consists of 20 articles, divided into 7 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Authorities and Responsibilities (II); Sampling (III); Destruction of Spoiled Food (IV); Laboratory Fees (V); Miscellaneous Provisions (VI); Final Provisions (VII). The main objectives of the Regulation include: to provide laboratory services to issue certificates and prevent importation of poor-quality food; to facilitate production and marketing of domestic plant production; to provide sustainable quality control services in order to reach to a standard system in the country. The Laboratory of the Department of Quality Control is responsible to register, examine, and analyze all the samples and report the result to the relevant authority and after the approval of the relevant authority, the Department of Quality Control may issue the certificate. The methods for elimination of spoiled products shall not affect the environment. The Regulation provides for the safety of the laboratories and their staff. The Department of Quality Control is the authority responsible to implement the provisions of this Regulation.
