Regulation of water and water resources and facilities.

The Regulation determines the conservation zone of water resources and installation and sets provisions for their management. The Regulation consists of 27 articles, divided into 4 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies of Authorities (II); Prohibitions and Limitations in Water Conservation Zone (III); Miscellaneous Provisions (IV). The main objectives of this Regulation include: to determine limitation of water resources and installation’s conservation zone; to preserve water resources and installation from pollution; to set prohibitions and limitations regarding water resources and installations; to appoint authorities for management of water resources and installation. The conservation zone of surface water resources shall be determined based on the amount of water and the possibility of pollution. The conservation zone of groundwater resources shall be determined based on land characteristics, the direction of water flow, the speed of water flow and the capability of the resource. Limit of deep wells which are used for irrigation is 30 meters. The Ministry of Energy and Water is the authority responsible to determine the conservation zone of water resources.
