Regulation on Water Use in Agriculture.

The Regulation sets provisions to manage the use of water in agriculture. The Regulation consists of 39 articles, divided into 4 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Water Distribution (II); Water Supply Systems Administration (III); Protection, Maintenance, and Reparation of Water Supply Systems (IV). Use of water in agricultural fields should be according to the plans provided by the authorities in each region. The water distribution plans are based on the size of the filed, type of cultivated plants, irrigation system, norm of the region and water resources availability. In the time of water shortage, the emergency water distribution plans should be provided. Individuals, cooperatives, farmers and other users are responsible to preserve, maintain, repair and develop the water supply infrastructure in their use.
