Abstract
This Act establishes the Central Marketing Corporation and defines its functions, powers and various matters of internal organization.
The Corporation shall have the duty to promote, facilitate and improve the production, processing and marketing of any farm produce of Antigua and Barbuda including fruit and vegetables, livestock and fish and products derived therefrom. More specifically, the Corporation shall, among other things, develop a coordinated programme regarding the logistics of produce, advise the Minister regarding the production and marketing of produce, assist producers in the selection of commodities and the delivery to the market of such commodities and supply to producers means of production such as seed, fertilizers and pesticides. The Minister may give policy directions to the Corporation.
