Abstract
This Act vests all minerals, as defined by the Act, in the Crown and prohibits the prospecting for such minerals except under and in accordance with a licence granted by the Cabinet.
The Act further provides for the payment of royalties in relation with a licence and the payment of compensation for the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources on land other than Crown land and grants regulation-making powers to the Cabinet.
