Abstract
This Order designates Redonda as a protected area and sets out permitted and prohibited activities in the Schedule. This Order allows essential monitoring, biosecurity, restoration and management, scientific research and non-damaging activities by permitted individuals in the Redonda Ecosystem Reserve. It also allows fishing and diving beyond the boundaries of the Replenishment Zone. The prohibited activities include: (i) collection/removal of plant, animal or mineral materials without permission; (ii) hunting, trapping or killing of plants or animals without permission; (iii) importation of soil or other organic matter; (iv) importation of plant or animal material without permission; (v) removal of historic and archaeological artefacts; (vi) disposal of packaging, solid and liquid organic waste and human waste; (vii) accessing the island of Redonda within the boundaries of the Replenishment Zone; (viii) mining within and beyond the boundaries of the Replenishment Zone; and (ix) harvesting of all species of Parrotfish found therein.
