Abstract
This Act makes provision with respect to transactions involving and rights inherent to settled estates i.e. land, and any estate or interest therein, which is the subject of any act, deed, agreement, will or other instrument, or any number of such instruments under or by virtue of which any land or any estate or interest in land stands limited to or in trust for any persons by way of succession.
The Act makes provision for the lease and sale of settled estates under authority of the court, lease and sale of settled estates by tenants for life and persons who are granted the same rights under this Act, limitations on transactions, appointment of trustees and various matters of miscellaneous character regarding settled estates. The Act regulates rights and duties of tenants in respect of minerals and timber present on the land subject to tenancy.
