Decision No. 26 on Hazardous Wastes and Residues.

This Act concerns the storage and transport of hazardous substances and waste. Under section 1, the importation of hazardous substances and residues is banned, unless, with the required authorization (sect. 3). Other provisions concern the requirement to perform impact assessment of row materials and discharges on the environment. Under section 6 concerns discharges of economic activities into sewerage waters and section 7 states the responsibility of persons involved in productive activities to dispose of hazardous wastes in compliance with the standards for environmental protection. The Act provides for actions to be taken in case of emergencies (sect. 9), authorizations for importation and exportation of wastes (sects. 10-14), inspection (sect. 15) and enforcement of the Act.
