Decision no. 41, dated 19 january 2022 on the approval of the cooperation agreement in the field of veterinary, food safety and animal feeding, and phytosanitary in the Western Balkans.

This Decision adopts a series of measure in order to facilitate the trade of live animals, food and feed for animals of animal, non-animal and composite origin, plants and plant products, in order to not lead to restrictions on the common market, to protect their territories from the entry and spread of harmful quarantine organisms and to limit the entry of non-quarantine harmful organisms regulated through imported shipments, as well as to limit losses that occur as a result of entry and their spread, to prevent the entry and spread of infectious diseases of animals, products and foods of animal origin which are not safe and can be harmful to health, in order to preserve the health of people and animals, to minimize phytosanitary, veterinary and health risk and in the same time to facilitate cooperation, to ensure the improvement of international trade, inviting the other participants of the Western Balkans to join this agreement in the spirit of inclusiveness, regional cooperation and with the aim of improving the life within the region (here signed among relevant ministries of the Government of the Republic of Serbia).
