Decision no. 826, dated 28 December 2023 on the organization and operation of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Services Directorate.

This Decision sets organizational and operational rules and procedures of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Services Directorate (DSHPA), as a legal, public, budgetary entity, depending on the minister responsible for fishing, with headquarters in Tirana City. The DSHPA is financed from the state budget and other legal sources. The budget of DSHPA constitutes a separate item in the budget of the ministry responsible for fishing. DSHPA's mission is to guarantee the management of fishing infrastructure and related to fishing, activities of control, inspection, monitoring of maritime space and data collection in the field of fishing and aquaculture. DSHPA exercises its activity in the following areas of responsibility: a) performing service activities in fishing and aquaculture; b) management of fishing infrastructure and related to fishing, according to one of the ways provided in the legislation in force for fishing; c) performing control and inspection activities.
