Decision No.116 dated 15.2.2012 on the agricultural statistics in the Republic of Albania.

The Statistics Institute (INSTAT) will be the sole authority responsible for gathering, producing, analysing and dissemination of agricultural statistics and trade exchanges for livestock and agricultural products. The transfer of these duties from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection to INSTAT will be implemented in two phases : establishment of the agricultural stats units at INSTAT (1), and establishment of such units at the local level (2). The Ministry of Agriculture will still be responsible for implementing the surveys and gathering of other data to be later send to INSTAT for processing.
