Abstract
The Decision No.289 of 2010 proclaims Natural Park the maritime natural ecosystem of Sazan island and Karaburun peninsula according to the map attached to it. It has a total protected area of 12570.82 ha out of which 9848.95 ha are located at Karaburun and 2721.87 ha at Sazan. Geographical coordinates are further defined. The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Water Administration is responsible for the preservation, monitoring, and development of the underwater ecotourism at the Natural Park of Karaburun-Sazan.
