Fisheries management Plan for sea cucumber genus holothuria on the Albanian coast.

This Plan provides for a set of management and conservation objectives as regards the sea cucumber (genus holothurian) on the cost of the Republic of Albania. Conservation and management of sea cucumbers is of great importance, because these animals fulfill an important role in marine ecosystems and are a important source of income for many coastal communities. Objectives of this Plan are listed as follows: taking management measures to guarantee a sustainable fishing of sea cucumbers; assessment of the state of resources through the monitoring of occupations and fishing efforts; identification and definition of a series of indicators capable of measuring relevant factors.
