Abstract
This Guideline approves the methodologies used for registering, inventorying, and reporting on the wild fauna species and their populations that are allowed for hunting. The process is managed by the Ministry of Environment with the participation of research institutions, the National Environmental Agency, Protected Areas Agency, municipalities, hunters’ associations, and NGOs involved in biodiversity issues. The inventory is carried out twice a year with the purpose of identifying the wild fauna species and their status and provide information for the annual or ten-year management plans. The inventory techniques are species-specific as laid down by the guideline.
