This Instruction here sets the terms for the approval of the National Plan of risk-based official controls and sampling for food, animal feed, plant protection and agricultural inputs, as well as the plan of taking samples at the border inspection points, for the year 2024. The main objectives of the Annual Official Control Plan and Sampling Plan, for the year 2024 are: Implementation of food safety rules through improved official controls, including control conditions; Organization of official controls, monitoring and verification for the fulfillment of legal requirements by operators of the business of food, feed for animals of animal and non-animal origin in it all stages of production, processing, storage and distribution, by business operators protection of plants and agricultural inputs, as well as rigorous implementation of the legal framework and regulatory; Carrying out official controls according to the sampling plan, based on the risk assessment and the specified frequency; Efficiency, quality and high level of transparency of official controls at national and local level; Inclusion of the pesticide plan in the official annual plan; The official annual inspection and sampling plan for 2024 was drawn up taking into account: data on business operators; and specific indicators for risk assessment referring to the new methodology.
