Instruction no. 23, dated 30 December 2022 for the disposal of plant protection products and their packaging.

This Instruction here defines detailed necessary procedures for the disposal of products for the protection of plant protection products and their deriving packaging. The plant protection product wholesale units shall notify within 5 days the Regional Directorate of the National Food Authority and the National Environment Agency, as regards the available quantities for each unusable, expired or expired product, as well as the date of completion of the disposal process. The Regional Directorate of the National Food Authority, within 7 days from the notification, will perform necessary monitoring and verification of unusable plant protection products in wholesale trading units. The Regional Directorate of the National Food Authority is also responsible for the disposal (also reuse and recycle when possible) of unusable plant protection products and their packaging up to 30 days from the date of verification.
