Abstract
This Law defines the legal regime of types of immovable properties of the state and the responsibilities for their administration. State immovable property means the immovable property of the central government and local government units. Public immovable property means that part of the immovable property of the state that fulfills basic and indivisible functions of the state and that brings benefits in favor of the general public.
Belong to the state and/or partially public immovable property is listed as follows: coastline to access land, territorial waters, beds and banks of rivers, streams or other watercourses, lakes, lagoons and natural or artificial reservoirs, islands and accumulations of sand, stones and soil in the beds of rivers, lakes and reservoirs, as determined according to the laws in force; historical, archaeological and cultural areas, as well as parks of national or local importance; areas, installations and other facilities intended for the purposes of national defense, public order and security; natural resources and mineral and inert reserves, as defined in the legislation in force; forests, pastures and meadows, as well as any other type of immovable property built on them, which directly serve their protection and development, are also public immovable property, if they belong to the state.
