Abstract
This Law aims at protecting and improving the water environment and water resources, ensuring their rational exploitation, fair distribution, protection from pollution, and set forth establishment of central and local institutional frameworks required to implement national policies of management and administration. It consists of the following chapters: I- General Provisions, II- Structures of Administration and Management of Water Resources, III- Management of Water Resources, IV- Pollution Control, V- Usage of Water Resources, VI- Resources of curative, thermo mineral and geothermal waters, VII- Authorizations, Permits, and Concessions, VIII- Zones and Protecting Areas, IX- Coastal Protection, X- Water Harmful Affect, XI- Water Works, XII- Discharges, XIII – Permits and Authorizations for the Polluted Waters Discharge, XIV- Servitudes, XV- Monitoring, XVI- National Cadastre of Water Resources and National Register of Authorizations, Permits, and Concessions, XVII- Public Information and Consulting, XVIII- Financial Provisions, XIX- Administrative Infringements, and XX- Transitional and Final Provisions.
