Abstract
The aim of this Law is to help with the economical use of natural resources and their sustainable development in Albania; promote the use of technology and innovation for energy production; reduce the import of organic heating fuels; promote the development of internal power market and its integration with regional markets.
The Law is fully approximated with the European Parliament Directive 2009/28/EC promoting the use of energy from renewable sources. It’s composed of the following Chapters: General Provisions (I); National Objectives and Measures for Energy Exploitation (II); Promotion of Energy Production from Renewable Energy Resources (III); Warranty of Electricity Origin from Renewable Resources (IV); Promotion of Solar Systems (V); Energy from Renewable Resources in the Transport Sector (VI); Final Provisions (VII).
