Law No. 61/2016 proclaiming the hunting moratorium in the Republic of Albania.

This Law prohibits all hunting activities with the aim of improving the situation of wild fauna. The exploitation of the hunting areas offered to the public is also prohibited. Wild fauna management plans remain valid except for the hunting activities. Exceptions include hunting of overpopulated species in permitted areas as well hunting for research and scientific purposes.
This Law will remain valid for five years from the date of its entry into force. The Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency of Protected Areas, and the State Environmental Inspectorate are responsible for law enforcement.
