Law No. 65/2018 amending and supplementing law No. 8318 date 1.4.1998 on leasing the state-owned forestry, agricultural, and pasture land, as amended.

This Law amends and supplements Law 8318 of 1998 regarding the terms and conditions of the applications submitted for leasing state-owned forestry, pasture, and agriculture land. It repeals article 6, section 3 of Law 8318, thus removing lessor's obligation to reimburse lessee for lease expenditures in accordance with the Civil Code requirements. Furthermore, it amends the rules of procedure regarding lease applications for objects destined for the production, conservation, and processing of agricultural and livestock products by conditioning their approval upon the application compliance with the territory planning legislation and the exclusive use of land solely for the construction of objects included in the application. In case of unilateral termination of contract, or its ending in accordance with the contract terms, the construction objects and all other immovable investments with be transferred to the lessor without remuneration.
