Law No. 8094 concerning public disposal of waste.

The present Law lays down provisions governing the public disposal of waste in municipal territories with a view to protecting the urban environment against waste pollution. Domestic and non-domestic waste are covered (art. 5), whereas radioactive waste, agricultural waste and other kinds of waste mentioned in article 6 do not fall within the scope of this Law. Waste collection and waste disposal shall be carried out by specialized individuals or legal entities authorized for that purpose.
