Law No. 9401, dated 19 May 2005 on the accession of the Republic of Albania to the "Agreement to promote compliance with international conservation and management measures by fishing vessels on the high seas".

This Law (promulgated by the Decree No. 4608, dated 6 June 2005 of the President of the Republic of Albania) states that the Republic of Albania accedes to the "Agreement to promote compliance with international conservation and management measures by fishing vessels on the high seas", made in Rome (Italy) on 24 November 1993. This Agreement shall apply to all fishing vessels, which are used or will be used for fishing on high seas. Responsibilities of the flag state are laid down in article 3. Article 5 sets the terms of international cooperation.
