Abstract
This Law aims to define the general principles of inspection, unify inspection activities at central and local level, define the functions, rules and procedures that are applied during the exercise of inspection activities, as well as the employment, recruitment, training and career development of inspectors. This Law aims to ensure and define: a) the basic principles of inspection, protection of the public interest, transparency and accountability in inspection activities; b) the continuous improvement of inspection activities through consulting and informing inspected entities; c) increasing the efficiency of public administration, including technology in inspection processes; d) respecting the rights of inspected entities and the possibility to exercise the right to appeal; e) the organization, regulation and management of inspection activities, at central and local level.
This Law defines the functions and rules for the exercise of inspection activities, at central and local levels, with the exception of: a) internal inspection of an administrative nature in the public sector; b) internal audit in the public sector and public financial inspection; c) inspection of the authority responsible for supervising the implementation of the legislation on civil protection; d) inspection of the authority responsible for supervising the implementation of the legislation on the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism; e) customs control; f) inspection in the military industry; g) inspection of games of chance.
