Order nr. 449 dated 13 June 2024 on the approval of the regulation "On the non-commercial movement of companion birds".

This Order here approves a necessary set of rules related to the non-commercial movement of companion birds. These rules are defining mandatory health requirements and the model of the identification document for non-commercial movements of companion animals as regards the recognized bird species. Companion birds are allowed to enter the territory of the Republic of Albania from one territory or other place only if they are identified in the territory, or in the other place of dispatch with one permanent, non-removable and readable individual identifier displaying an alphanumeric code. The maximum number of companion birds that can accompany their owner or a person authorized, during a single non-commercial movement to another country must not exceed the number of five.
