Abstract
This Regulation sets forth general principles on agrotourism as well as the certification criteria of agrotourism activities and the certifying authorities. Only certified operators have the right to use the designation ‘agrotourism’ in their grounds or business names. The certification criteria include the farm and livestock size, the type of hospitality services that are offered including the availability of food, drinks, accommodation and entertainment/relaxing activities. An assessment committee composed of five members, three from the ministry responsible for tourism and two from the agriculture and rural development one will be established as the responsible certifying authority. The ‘Certified Agrotourism Business’ certificates are issued for a five-year period.
