Abstract
This Memorandum is a framework agreement for joint work in the areas of environment protection, rehabilitation and conservation of natural resources, and sustainable development. In the area of environment protection the collaboration will be focused on pollution prevention and waste management, environmental awareness and education, ecological indicators, sustainable development indicators, improvement of urban development, efforts against soil drought, ecological tourism, and conservation and management of water resources. Both parties will periodically exchange information, documents, and publications. Biannual work plans will be prepared to set up priorities and main areas of cooperation. Each party should appoint a coordinator to draft action plans and follow up on them as well as to guarantee the necessary financial, technical, and human resources.
