Regulation No. 342 date 4.5.2016 approving the territorial and hydrographical borders of the water basins in the Republic of Albania and the headquarters and composition of their councils.

With regard to the water resources administration, the territory of Albania is divided into six water basins with the following headquarters: 1) Drin–Bunë basin, headquarter in Shkodër; 2) Mat basin, headquarter in Lezhë; 3) Ishëm–Erzen basin, headquarter in Tiranë; 4) Shkumbin basin, headquarter in Elbasan; 5) Seman basin, headquarter in Fier; and 6) Vjosë basin, headquarter in Vlorë. The map of their territorial boundaries is attached to this Regulation. Each water basin has its own Water Basin Council and the Regulation further lays down the composition of each council.
